Rotational Molding
The Midwest’s Premier Provider Of Rotational Molding Services
What is rotational molding?
Rotational molding involves a heated hollow mold that is filled with a plastic and rotated. It is a low-pressure process requiring minimal mold strength, resulting in a process that can produce large or complex parts on short notice using inexpensive molds. Rotational molding tends to produce an increasing wall thickness on outside corners of parts, which gives the process a distinct advantage.
Benefits of rotational molding
Thanks to low tooling costs, rotational molding is ideally suited for prototypes or production parts of any quantity. Our team uses rotational molding to produce high-quality components for a variety of industries including specialty tanks, water & chemical containers, agricultural products, processing, kayaks, boats, playground equipment, and childcare seating.
Materials that we use
We’re experienced in using many different types of plastics in our rotational molding processes, including:
- Cross-Link PE (XLPE)
- HDPE
- LLDPE
- MDPE
- Nylon 6
- Nylon 12
